TRACK YOUR PROGRESS – it’s hard to see how far you come unless you keep a track of your progress. Regular measurements, body fat % checks (don’t mean every day, but once a month or every 6 weeks should be on your schedule), pictures of yourself are great (take them every 1-3 months? – the visual side of tracking can be sometimes very powerful), track your workouts (weights – are you getting stronger? Then great!), improving time of your running?, or scales ( but don’t be too dependent on in)….

REWARD YOURSELF – make yourself happy. If you achieve something, reward yourself even if it’s a little thing. It will make you happy and motivate you. ( cute little outfit, new running trainers or just new gym gloves etc..)

GET YOURSELF ‘’COOL GADGETS’’ – by this I mean, little thing that will make your life easier. Are you struggling keeping your daily water intake? – Buy yourself a nice big 2L water bottle. Or do you need to keep things visual when planning your meals for a week? Why don’t you buy a nice magnetic flexible board you can stick on your fridge and see every day. Or even a simple gym bag, with extra pocket only for your trainers….And I am sure you can find loooots of other things….:)

MOTIVATE YOURSELF – signing up maybe for some upcoming races ( 5k,10k, marathon maybe some obstacles fun raise?) to make sure you stick to your training? Or reward yourself when you lose 5 pounds or just for sticking for a month to your exercise routine? Train with someone? ( by here I mean someone, who will not drag you down instead of pushing forward, who will not be chatting for hours with you while ‘’training’’). And I am sure you will find again plenty of great ideas helping you stay on a track.

DON’T GIVE UP, IF YOU ARE NOT PERFECT! – it’s easy to give up when you get off the wagon. You might be ill, or very busy at work, your kids get ill, your car breaks down or maybe you injure yourself. Be patient, try to maintain your workout routine, follow your nutrition as much as you can, but if it’s not perfect, it’s all right. You cannot be perfect 24/7, I am not.
